Born in the upper peninsula, graduating from the Aveda institute, Joanna made her way to Los Angeles. It was in Los Angeles that Joanna continued her training with Vidal Sassoon. The last 15 years she has spent styling celebrities for various red carpet events including The Grammy’s, The Emmy’s, The Golden Globes, and weddings. Joanna works with hair and make up both so she is able to co-ordinate the whole look. “There’s just something so satisfying about seeing a look from start to finish!” ” I love to see people looking their best!”
7 Vegetable Chicken Noodle-I-cious Soup
6 thighs (cleaned of fatty parts)
1 Tbs salt
5 cups water
4 sprigs rosemary
5 cloves garlic
2 Tbs olive oil
1 lg onion
4 cloves garlic chopped
3 C. unsalted chicken broth
2 C. water with 2 bouillon
2 tsp poultry seasoning
3 tsp Accent
4 celery stalks chopped
2 C. baby carrots
4 broccolini stalks chopped
2 zucchini quartered
5 kale leaves chopped
1 can diced tomatos
1 C. frozen corn
1/4 C. fresh salsa
3 Tbs lightly chopped cilantro
Salt and Pepper to taste (This is a large pot so don’t be shy.)
Egg Noodles. Boiled in water with a tsp of salt for 10 min and drained.
Directions:
Boil chicken 30 mins. Skim Fat. Strain liquid. Keep 4 C. of liquid
Add chicken broth, water with boullion, poultry seasoning, and accent to the other 4 C. liquid.
Let chicken set. Pull apart with 2 forks and set aside.
Meanwhile, sauté onions and garlic in olive oil til tender and translucent
Add chicken, onions and garlic to broth. Add all vegetables.
Simmer 45 mins.
Add canned tomatoes for 5 mins.
Stir in cilantro and salsa.
Serve over steamed white rice or egg noodles.
Delish!

Silvia loves doing hair, yoga, the ocean, sunshine, music, dancing, eating great food, travel, hanging out with her beautiful family & friends and most of all enjoys being a new mommy.

Tree started her career in Los Angeles 7 years ago. She has trained with exceptional stylists from Sebastian floor artists to highlighted stylists in Allure magazine. She has incorporated their styling techniques with her own twist in sculpting hair. Her personality and talent combined will give you a great salon experience. Djuna (Pronounced “Junah”)
Born and raised in Venice, Djuna is proud to be a native. She has been a licensed hairstylist for 14 years. Djuna spent 5 years doing hair and makeup for feature films before deciding that the salon was where her heart is. She is very talented at cutting both women and men’s hair. While she is very experienced in doing traditional foil hilites, she also specializes in doing balayage hilites. Balayage is a technique which requires painting the the hilites on the hair to give it a beachy look while adding natural looking dimensions by picking up on the undertones of your hair. She likes to stay up to date on current hairstyles and her priority is to maintain the integrity of the hair. She believes that when a client leaves her chair their hair should look like they just stepped off the cover of a magazine.
